Gisela is an incredibly innovative pianist, who has strong roots in both classical music and in Andean traditional music. Her recording, Habaschallay, is the first solo piano recording of traditional Huayno compostions from Peru. Gisela's playing is known for its precise technique and great sensitivity and fluidity. She is well known for her work with university choirs and for her arrangements, as well as her work fusing traditional Peruvian music with rock, jazz and electronica, which can be heard in her new CD, Coca Kintucha, a project she recorded with the drummer and producer Mino Mele.
